Florida Detox® Drug Addiction
Treatment is Effective for All Narcotics, Even Methadone
The Florida Detox® anesthesia-assisted rapid detox procedure is
effective for any known opiate or narcotic analgesic (including synthetics).
Generally, the compounds included in these rapid detox categories are divided
into so-called "street drugs" and prescription
medications.
Treat Prescription Drug Addiction With Rapid
Detox
A large majority of the patients we treat at Florida Detox® are
victims of a chronic pain syndrome. These patients have a long-standing history
of migraine headaches, neck pain, back pain, or some other musculoskeletal
disorder. Expertise in pain management is invaluable in developing a successful
strategy for post detoxification life. Many patients with previously uncontrolled
addiction to prescribed pain medication have been successfully treated at
Florida Detox®, even after attempting Detox at traditional drug rehab
centers. Often we find that the patient is simply "chasing the
addiction" or "avoiding withdrawal" and therefore requiring
excessive pain medication. Typically, we see many patients who began treating
their pain with 4-6 Percocets per day. After a period of time there is a natural
progression to quantities in excess of 30-40 pills per day. Click

Opiate Dependency & Prescription Drug
Addiction
Opiate dependency is recognized as a central nervous
system disorder, caused by continuous opiate intake. After prolonged opiate
use, the nerve cells in the brain, which would otherwise produce endogenous
opiates (natural painkillers, or endorphins), cease to function normally. The body
stops producing endorphins because it is receiving opiates instead. The
degeneration of these nerve cells results in the user's physical dependency to
an external supply of opiates. Abrupt or sudden abstinence from opiates
induces yet another traumatic disorder - withdrawal syndrome.
